How do you stand on casual sex between friends?
I'm looking for advice and your honest opinion, from 1 stranger to another.

horrible idea. ruins everything. unless you plan on it becoming more than casual.

There is no such thing as caual sex between friends, let's face it if you do start having sex what happens if the other partner gets jelous or brags that he or she is better than your partner, if it were me I would rather have sex with a stranger with no strings attached.  But that's me,

how about becoming friends with a sex partner?  I have had a few afairs. each several years apart, 2 with married coworkers, 1 with a widow I met thru a swing frind, 1 with a widow from church.  after being discovers my wife and marrage counsolers all say I cannot have anything to do with them not even after many years.  I would like to atleast talk or see them socialy like old classmates at a reunion.

It can work.  I'm a 55 year old female.  Have many friends and some of them I share sex with.  You just have to go about it openly and letting your sex partner know...it's sex..yes it is special..yes there is love...just not this whole commitment thing and game couples play.  I have been married..kids are on there own..I like sex with good friends from time to time..it can work

Yes it can work.  I have had sex with a few friends.  At times it just happens.  I'm still good friends with them.  Spending allot of time together..share a love for one another.  I too am in my 50's and a female. Perhaps being older set in ways helps.  I'm not after much more than keeping my friendship and when that special time to share an intament time happens I go for it. 

Sharing sex with friends is wonderful.  My wife and I have been doing it for several years.  It first started with some of my school buddies coming over to swim on the weekends and my wife's skimpy swimsuits.  She got friendly with them and her first experience was in a gangbang.

Eventually, some of her childhood friends got involved.  She had sex with some of the men she went to school with as a child while I ended up with their wives.  It has never caused problems of any kind.  Over the years we discovered that she and three of her friends had had sex with eleven of the same men.  At her last class reunion, we invited those same eleven to our house early and my wife and her three friends ended up having sex with 8 of them.  That isn't a total of 8; it's each one had sex with each of the 8 men.  Their have been no problems and that was 4 years ago.  I recommend it.     

I was unsure of my having sex with a long time friend.  It worked.  We are still good friends.  We are older in our late fifities.   He offered to message my neck and shoulders. it happened over the weekend..a good friend of mine was over for dinner...I just got this wild attraction toward him...I have not had sex in a while...he is in his mid fifties and I'm 41..he was aroused within seconds of me coming on to him..it worked for us 

My wife's mother and father had a large group of friends with whom they often had sex.  They were from a small town and would get together about every two weeks to entertain and have sex with each other.  One of my wife's cousins is also her sister.  Her father got his sister-in-law pregnant and the cousin was raised as the daughter of the sister-in-law and her husband.  The husband knew and had no problem with it.  I actually think most of those participating wanted to get pregnant or get somebody pregnant to whom they were not married.  However, this was the only pregnancy outside marriage I am aware of.  There quite possibly could have been more.  My wife and I started sharing sex right away after we started dating.  My first experience was with my future sister-in-law and my wife's first experience after we started dating (she had several experiences before that) was with a friend of mine whom I had gone to high school with.  Our circle of sex partners has expanded considerably and we all get along fabulously.  My neices share their husbands with each other and with their mother.  My wife shares herself with some of our neighbors and with some of her co-workers.  I get to be with a lot of my wife's female friends and some of my neighbors' wives as well as some of the wives of the men my brother-in-law brings over to introduce to his wife and his sister (my wife).  Sharing yourself can be a marvelous experience.  You just have to approach it maturely.

As for having sex with a friend of 8 years it was wonderful.  For over 8 years he and I spent day trips, coffee, shared meals...all the things friends do.  One day we just looked into one anothers eyes and the feeling was mutual.  We wound up spending the entire day sharing a wonderful sexual experience.  We continue to be friends and do not let our sexual adventure get in the way of our friendship.

I must agree, also.  My best friend from my early school days (we've stayed friends all our lives) married 32 years ago to a very nice man with whom I have also become very good friends.  I now work over 150 miles from my husband during the week and sometimes over the weekend as well.  I get very horny not having sex during those long periods.  I told my best friend and she suggested I have sex with her husband.  At first I was shocked, but after a while I became so frustrated that I told my husband about my sexual frustrations and my friend's offer.  He gave me the go-ahead and I've been having sex with my best friend's husband (who is also my friend) for over a year now and it has been wonderful.  It has relieved all my frustrations, made my absences from my husband much easier to take, and improved my marriage considerably.  When my 3 son's asked what had happened to make me happier, their father and I told them and they all thought it was good that I had an outlet for my needs and have welcomed the situation with open arms.

You should at least give sex with a friend a try with the understanding that it is just to see if it fits your needs and you want to continue or not.  I wish I had done this much earlier in life - even to the point of having a baby with my lover.  My best friend said she would have liked that.     

Some of the most successful marriages I have ever known about were ones in which the husband and wife were best friends growing up.  I can't think of a better way to have a successful marriage than to have one with your best friend.  Hopefully, if you're going to marry your best friend, you are going to have sex with them at least after you're married.  Why wouldn't you want to have sex with your friends.  I can even imagine couples having sex with their friends after they have married each other.  There's really no reason not to as long as you are both having sex with your individual friends.
