Don't limit yourself to your "significant other" and ever how often you can get hard enough to complete the activity is normal.  It works for my wife and me.  We have sex whenever it's convenient and not necessarily with each other.  She's 47 and I'm 51.  Been doing it this way for 7 years now - ever since the kid left for college and we've never been more contented - neither have our partners.

personally, being 30 husband 35 with 3 young kids, we are averaging 4 times in a week, there are weeks that we are less active, and weeks we are more active.... it all comes with communication.... and there are times I may not be in the mood initially for the worry kids will hear or long day at work, but I always end with enjoying we did it... it is nice to have the understanding that there are times it will be quick (grab a toy to help her along her way), and then there are times we will enjoy the intimate.... you should sit and talk with her... breastfeeding will take away some of the drive, but only for the first 6 months or so while her hormones balance out.... hope this helps!
